  • Qigong for Late Summer

The Yang energy of summer doesn’t disappear all at once - it softens slowly, lingering in the air as fruits grow heavy and light begins to shift. Late summer is the bridge between the carefree celebration of summer and the structure of fall. We start to prepare - organizing, tending, and planning for what’s ahead. Meridians are Spleen and Stomach, the main organs of digestion, they help us process emotion, integrate experience and find clarity.  Emotions associated with Late Summer - Positive: empathy, trust, reflections, Negative: worry overthinking/analyzing.  The Earth element is grounding, centering us thru ongoing transformation, not being pulled into worries. Late Summer is ruled by the spirit of spleen - Yi - which guides intention and focus, where Yi goes Qi flows.

Late Summer season is a time to digest the year, to pause, reflect and take in what we’ve learned so far. What new rhythms are you ready to cultivate, what would feel nourishing in the season ahead.
